Chicken Feather Plucker Instructions
# 1 - Connect Water
Before you turn on the plucker, connect the water hose and connect the power. Make sure any electric outlet is safely away from water.
# 2 - Prepare Hot Water
Prepare a separate pot of scalding hot water. Insert the chicken, and spin the bird for about 30 seconds. The hot water will help loosen the feathers.
# 3 - Turn Power On
Turn on the power to the feather plucker. Water will spray everywhere. Make sure any electric outlet is safely away from spraying water.
# 4 - Insert Bird Into Tub
Insert the chicken into the tub. The bird will tumble around like the inside of a clothes dryer. This process will start to remove the feathers.
# 5 - Bird Tumbles In Tub
As the chicken tumbles, the water and rubber fingers help remove feathers in about 60 seconds.
# 6 - Water Empties Into Bucket
Water washes the feathers into the feather chute. (Place a bucket to the side for excess water and feathers.)
# 7 - Turn Power Off
Once the bird is fully de-feathered, you can turn the power off. Wait until the tub stops rotating before you remove the chicken.
# 8 - Rinse and Repeat
Remove excess feathers from the tub. Turn power on and begin de-feathering additional birds.
